Defeat may serve as well as victory
To shake the soul and let the glory out.
When the great oak is straining in the wind,
The boughs drink in new beauty, and the trunk
Sends down a deeper root on the windward side.
Only the soul that knows the mighty grief
Can know the mighty rapture.
Sorrows come
To stretch out spaces in the heart
for joy!

In response to this post, I was talking to my friend about the pictures I have on that blog, and about how I had climbed Y mount to get a certain picture. So I told him I just climbed to the Y, and he said I should have gone all the way to the top. So I was telling him various reasons why I didn't go all the way to the top, ending with this one:
[02:44:41] also they dont have a path past the Y
And he responds
[02:45:34] so what?!
[02:45:41] just lay out the branches from your tree into your own path!
Win :)
[02:44:41]
And he responds
[02:45:34]
[02:45:41]
Win :)
